shopper survey to be undertaken throughout Queensland. This survey has been
found to be a farce, to most drivers, it's not worth the paper it is printed on.

December 2009 - Ombudsman investigates Queensland taxi
Industry.
Over the past few months, Don Brown,
the Queensland Workplace Rights Ombudsman has been looking into the taxi
industry in Queensland. He has travelled all over the state to meet with all
areas and stakeholders within the industry including drivers, operators and

John Busst, cabbie, insists on giving his customers a high
level of service. Well, he used to... Until he put an advert in a local paper
advertising he could provide "good old fashioned service" with "Aussie Drivers".

November 2009 - CDAQ strikes a crucial blow with new 1 year
legislation.
New legislation came into effect on November 1, 2009 where all
new cab drivers must have held an Australian drivers licence for a minimum of 1
whole year. Is this too little too late, or will it actually have some effect
